Demand is steadily increasing for plastics with good mechanical properties coupled with heat-conducting abilities. Specially selected or modified graphites provide powerful additives for achieving this. Depending on the requirements of the applications, different graphite-based filler concepts can provide optimal results. If only very low conductivity is permitted, graphite is used in low filling rates. Due to its thermal conductivity, graphite also fulfils a wide variety of thermal management tasks.
